Course Description: Computer Concepts is an elective. It is a one year course for students. Specific units of instruction include computer software, computer technology, computer hardware, applications in database, spreadsheets and charts, graphics, and merging of documents. Accuracy and format of documents is stressed. Extensive assignments are assigned after each new concept is presented. Applications used are:

Learn how small companies keep track of money coming in & going out
of their business. Also, applications involving the steps of the
accounting cycle, checking accounts, payroll, specialized journals &
financial statements are covered. Course Description: Accounting is an elective course. It is a skill level course that is of value to all students pursuing a background in business activities. Accounting involves keeping financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing these records and reports to help management make sound decisions. Accounting uses cash journals, sales journals, purchase journals, payroll journals, and general journals. Students will understand basic principals of debits and credits, use of various ledgers, customer and creditor accounting, depreciation, uncollectible accounts, accrued expenses and deferred revenue. Within the class framework, students will complete two projects and a practice set. |
