Senior English: Senior English is a year-long course that will prepare students for the demands of college English as well as the practice of other study skills that are necessary for a successful college experience. Students also have the option of receiving 3 college credit hours for English 101 through Black Hawk East junior college if they pass the pre-requisite test as determined by Back Hawk. The class will cover the course syllabus as determined by Black Hawk and a survey of British Literature considered standard in a Senior English class.
ECS: English Concepts for Success is a semester class designed to give students one last opportunity to improve reading and writing skills before going out into the world of work. Students will focus on writing more concise and readable pieces through a variety of real world assignments. Students will also use a variety of reading material to practice problem areas of reading.
