Course Description: Orientation to Family and Consumer Science A is an elective. This course is the suggested first course for all programs. It is designed to present basic subject matter in these areas: (1) foods and nutrition; (2) housing, furnishings, and equipment; (3) introductions to the world of work. Learning experiences assist students in understanding themselves and their roles as a consumer and productive member of today's society.   Course Description: Orientation to Family and Consumer Science B is an elective course. This course is the suggested first course for all programs. It is designed to present basic subject matter in three areas: (1) clothing and textiles; (2) resource management; (3) human development, interpersonal and family relationships. Learning experiences assist students in understanding themselves and their roles as a consumer and productive member of today's society.
