Geometry is an elective course, which will count as one (1) year of the three (3) years of math required for graduation. It is a study of points, lines, and planes. A geometry system and geometric reasoning is developed throughout the year. Space and plane geometry are covered at the same time. Such topics as triangles, polygons, area of plane/3-D figures, parallel/perpendicular lines, circles, and basic transformations are covered.   Informal Geometry is an elective course which will count as one (1) year of the three (3) years of math required for graduation. The course covers aspects from basic foundations of geometry, geometric reasoning, parallel and perpendicular lines, properties and attributes of triangles with congruence, polygons and quadrilaterals, right triangles and trigonometry, circles, and spatial reasoning. The basic concepts of each topic will be explored with less rigor and some may not be fully examined.
