Band is an elective course. It is the study of music through playing an instrument. Students not only improve their playing skills, but also acquire a knowledge and appreciation of music. The concert band is the core of the band program. A variety of music, from classics to pops is studied. The marching band performs at football games and parades. The pep band performs at basketball games. Students may also have the opportunity to perform solos and ensembles. |
Choir is an elective course. It is the study of music through singing. Students acquire a knowledge and appreciation of music. They develop their skill in singing as well as an ability to read music. A variety of music is studied from classical to contemporary. |
