Biology: Biology is an elective course that will help students meet the graduation requirement for two years of science. It is the study of life. The school year begins with an introduction to Biology principles and history. Other areas of study include cell biology or cytology, an introduction to genetics and evolution, a study of basic botany or plant biology, and an introduction to zoology. The introduction to the animal kingdom will concentrate on various classifications of invertebrates and will include several animal dissections.
